Day 1 – Bangkok – Laem Phak bia

Arrival at Bangkok airport followed by road transfer to the Gulf of Thailand coastline.

Day 2 – Laem Phak bia

A day dedicated to coastal mudflats, salt marshes and mangroves, with a program adjusted to the tides to maximize birdwatching activity.

Day 3 to 5 – Parc national de Kaeng Krachan

In the rainforest, a methodical exploration of the park's different habitats, from lowland forests to higher areas accessible by vehicle.

Day 6 – Bangkok – Chiang Mai

Early morning transfer to Bangkok airport (approximately 3 hours), domestic flight to Chiang Mai (1 hour) then journey to Doi Inthanon (1.5–2 hours).

Day 7 et 8 – Parc national de Doi Inthanon

Two full days spent at the highest point in Thailand, a true sanctuary of mountain biodiversity. ​

Day 9 – Fang

Morning observation at Doi Inthanon, then transfer to our base camp for the next few days.

Day 10 et 11 – Doi Ang Khang et Doi Lang

Two full days spent exploring this mountainous region in the north, renowned for its Sino-Himalayan species.

Day 12 – Chiang Mai - Bangkok

Travel to Chiang Mai, then domestic flight to Bangkok for your international connection.

When to go?

The ideal period is from November to May, with a preference for the months of January to March.

Moderate. The hikes undertaken throughout the stay are not difficult. In lowland forests, particularly in Kaeng Krachan National Park, highs can reach 34–36°C at the end of the season. At higher altitudes, in Doi Inthanon National Park and around Doi Ang Khang, mornings are significantly cooler (8–15°C), with pleasant afternoons around 20–28°C.

We walk a few hours a day at the pace of leisurely walking with many breaks for observation. You are in good health and able to walk at a normal pace, with a small backpack containing hydration.

Accommodation throughout the trip varies between premium and standard.

We will travel by minibus with approved drivers. Road conditions in Malaysia are good.

Information concerning health and administrative formalities may constantly evolve. It is necessary to check for updates with official bodies.

Visa:

European, Canadian, and Swiss citizens do not need a visa for stays of less than 60 days. They must be in possession of a passport valid for six months beyond their return date from Thailand. Travelers whose passports are not valid for this period will be refused entry and returned to their point of departure.

Travellers may be required to show a return or onward ticket and proof of funds for the trip.

All foreign nationals entering Thailand by air, land or sea must complete the digital arrival card, which is an online form.

Health :

No vaccination is required unless you are arriving directly from Africa or South America, where in this case you will need to present a yellow fever vaccination certificate.
